Preserve Tableau Web Connector or Provide Alternate Mechanism for Data Export
Daniel Sturtevant
Hello! Communications from a support ticket recently suggest that the ClickUp Tableau Web Connector is scheduled to be deprecated with a future release. We hope that it can either be preserved or that some other mechanism for the export of the raw data associated with a work space could be made available.
We depend on this functionality for some of my teams KPI reporting. While some of the recent updates to the canned ClickUp dashboards made them quite a bit more useful and have come some of the way toward allowing them to be used instead for these kinds of insights, they still can't provide the same functionality that Tableau can in terms of refined data calculations and integration with other data sources.
If not specifically the Tableau web connector, any alternative option that would allow for the export of the raw data that becomes available in the Tableau workbook would be a replacement just as good. It would in fact be even better if this data export process could be automated, as the existing web connector requires a user to perform each update manually. We have investigated the possibility of using the ClickUp API to accomplish something similar, but it seems to work well for individual record access but not so much for a full data dump or extraction of recent changes or anything like that that would be right-sized to have a complete data extract available.
