It would be great if ClickUp could work as a third party email app so that you reply, forward, compose, etc emails inside ClickUp and retain the organization of ClickUp.
I assume this is related to:https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/send-email-from-clickup just curious why one is under review while the other is planned?
I agree with the deep integration concept. I think we want all the advantages of having e-mails integrated with ClickUp, but I would prefer the flexibility of not having to completely switch over to ClickUp email. I think of ClickUp as an extension, a layer that can sit on top of your existing email and allow you another way of managing your existing accounts (important that any sync should be 2-way). I’d rather that than a completely separate solution that I would have to switch over to (switching might also be impossible depending on the organization). Hope that makes sense. :)
hive.com has a nice solution that way. It might be a good "inspiration"
Yes, it would be great for use in a service desk environment as a ticketing system that is consolidated with your operations and project management.
@Ferdie van Schalkwyk: This is how we use it in conjunction with Missive.
ive been searching for years for a central hub that I can also use as an Email client for all my staff / departent inboxes etc so I don't have keep going out to gmail or other email client. this would be genius and truly a point of difference that none of your competitors offer
@Kerstin Shields: I use Cloze.com for this now. If ClickUp could do something similar, that would be great. I keep up with all my clients in Cloze, and it syncs with everything... Gmail, hotmail... etc.. and with many other apps.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant idea
Regarding the mail, take a look at Hubspot, you gotta love the mail function and how good it works and looks.
I'm personally quite happy with using the Chrome extension to create a task from an email in Gmail. Maybe that integration could be deepened to keep track of replies or other activity inside ClickUp? My inbox is a very different beast — I would never want to bring that monster into ClickUp in full.
@Andron Ocean: Not everyone uses gmail. I don't. So, a different option in ClickUp would be nice.
Yeah I really like the idea of using this as my primary email. I would get rid of other clients if this had a calendar.
As part of Gmail would be great
@Senthil Seveelavanan: do we seriously want to give google any more power. there a many much much better email clients out htere than gmail. its time we started letting others get into space and stop giving google yet more power. seriously...!!!!!!
@Kerstin Shields: agree, but want to be realistic, otherwise the logical conclusion of all these suggestions is that clickup rebuild the world!
