Alfred Integration
Andrew Ousley
I would LOVE to be able to create ClickUp tasks from Alfred quickly and easily - this might need to wait until there's the Inbox/Dashboard feature that can have tasks with no project associated, but ideally you'd just be able to create a task in Alfred and then have it go to a dumping ground inbox (or pre-defined project/list) in ClickUp, and add any relevant details, add to a project, etc from there. I constantly have small ideas or reminders for tasks, and being able to add it in 2 seconds and then sort the remaining details later is an important part of my workflow.

Michael I was so excited to install this workflow for Alfred. Unfortunately it does not seem to trigger in on my M1 Studio and M1 MacBook Pro, both running Ventura. Any help here would be very much appreciated. You made a fantastic thing and I'd love to use it! Thanks so much.
Michael
Matt Paquette: Hey Matt, just to be sure, are you running Python 2? If so, do have a look here: https://github.com/mschmidtkorth/alfred-clickup-msk/issues/35

Michael: python3 with ventura

I tried it but it doesn't appear to be working on Alfred for me. Any news

Would still really love something like this!

Is this workflow still usable or anyone has an alternative?
I've download it and after typing cu:setting nothing happened or seems possible to setup..

This is fantastic. Thank you. I can create tasks and search. But when I do a search it won't open the task (safari is default).

Yes! Alfred! Does ClickUp work with Alfred? When is this coming? And 2Do?

Please o please!

This would be incredible

Hi, I'm a huge ClickUp fan and have created a new ClickUp workflow - it allows creating tasks as well as specifying tags, priorities, lists, or due dates all from Alfred. You are also able to search for tasks. I love it as I can create tasks within seconds from anywhere. See here - https://github.com/mschmidtkorth/alfred-clickup-msk

Michael: that looks amazing Leah! However i'm stuck at step 1, nothing happens when I enter my API key + enter.. if I'm reading the log correctly it seems my api key is invalid ? but it is, I'm using it with my own alfred workflow.
If that helps :
ClickUp[Script Filter] {"items": [{"arg": "cu:config apiKey pk_1825557_B7BRDOJJH4O1Q6M2116O4NIFOXXXXXXX", "valid": false, "subtitle": "Confirm to save to keychain?", "variables": {"isSubmitted": "true"}, "title": "Enter API key: pk_1825557_B7BRDOJJH4O1Q6M2116O4NIFOXXXXXXX"}]}
Michael
Hi Mehdi Bellatig, thanks! Your API key looks perfectly valid. There was an issue I resolved. Could you give the new version a try? https://github.com/mschmidtkorth/alfred-clickup-msk/releases/tag/1.0.3
Mehdi Bellatig
Michael: Awesome, that fixed it !
A couple feedbacks, about the due date, would be nice to be able to leave it empty for those of us that don't use them, and the search is not working, here is the log : https://anotepad.com/notes/9kqda7bf
Also, for me the @ to add a date doesn't work, here is the log : https://anotepad.com/notes/6sqaajak
Michael
Mehdi Bellatig: I've fixed your issue and allowed tasks without a due date - I always add one to mine, so it did not even occur to me. Also, if possible, creating issues/feature requests on GitHub would allow me to track them easier and we can keep this thread clean ;)
Mehdi Bellatig
Michael: Thanks, it works now ! And yes sure I'll use github if I have another bug to report.
Zeb
Michael: Leahcim, this is AWESOME! Thanks so much for sharing 💜

Michael: Hi Michael! This looks amazing, but after I input and validate all settings, I get an error message below - what am I doing wrong?
Michael
Andrew Ousley: Hi Andrew, that shouldn't happen! Would you be able to provide a screenshot or list of your settings? Preferably at https://github.com/mschmidtkorth/alfred-clickup-msk/issues - thanks.
Andrew Ousley
Michael: Happy to! Which settings should I screenshot?
Michael
Andrew Ousley: Your cu:config settings would be all I need. Any debug output would be helpful as well:
You can enable the log as Alfred Preferences > Workflows > ClickUp. On the top right, click on the little bug (rightmost icon) Then, try to use "cu " again and copy the logs in the Alfred Preferences window.
Michael
Andrew Ousley: Thank you! That was exactly what I needed - I've uploaded a new version on Github (https://github.com/mschmidtkorth/alfred-clickup-msk/issues/20#issuecomment-754231573) - please let me know if it fixed your issue, as I was not able to reproduce it myself.
Andrew Ousley
Michael: Perfection, works like a charm! Thank you sir - no better way to start the new year!

Michael: Hey Michael, newbie question but I extracted the file but I can't ".alfredworkflow" anywhere inside the archive. Am I missing something?
Michael
Mike Ziarko: Hi Mike, no problem, here is a direct link: https://github.com/mschmidtkorth/alfred-clickup-msk/releases/download/1.1.2/ClickUp-1.1.2.alfredworkflow
JD Thomson
Michael: Tried it and not working for me. its due to Python 2 being removed from apples run times. do you plan on updating to Python 3 and if so when

I created this for myself, hope it helps : https://github.com/vlom31/alfred-clickup2.0
