Need to add the ability to add tags, and set priority when you create a task using the Outlook Add-On app.

And custom fields! If you are trying to create a new task from e-mail in a list with required custom field(s) you won‘t be able to!
And, when using dark mode in the new outlook, most text in the add-in won‘t switch accordingly. It‘s very hard to read. This needs a fix.
And, I‘d like to be able to select which files will be attached to the task or not.
But overall this add-in is a great thing to have!

Hey everyone! First and foremost, we want to apologize for any confusion from our recent release notes (3.46), which mentioned ability to add status and tags to ClickUp task in the Outlook add-in before these features were fully developed. We recognize how valuable it is to manage all critical task details right from your inbox, and we’re actively exploring this enhancement now.
Here’s where we stand:
- We don’t have a confirmed release date yet, but we’ll share updates here as soon as we know more.
- In the meantime, please keep sharing your ideas, use cases, and any challenges you’ve faced.
Your feedback helps us prioritize and refine this feature to best fit your needs.
Thank you for your patience and understanding, and stay tuned for more information soon!

The ability to share a direct feed to the email thread is preferred instead of attaching an email. So the outlook thread would open up directly backlinked from CU. Might be a limitation inside of CU not having a way to create a Backlink to Conversation.
Sometimes we want to keep the contents of an email secured and not in CU. Having a way to link directly to open the email for the user who is validated to open it would be useful. This functionality only comes in with the Front Integration with Clickup. This functionality exists with Front.
Thanks again for you and your teams hard work.

I'm confused. I voted and discussed shared mailboxes in this feedback post, but now it's about tags and priority. Was it always about that? I don't care much about those things, but I care very much about shared mailboxes.

And I came back here today because the Outlook add-on apparently had an update, and now a) images transmitted to ClickUp all say "cannot be previewed" and b) my shared mailbox workaround of pinning the add-on to the quick access toolbar stopped working.
I'm also not keen that the add-on now requests permission to read all my mail even when I'm not using the app. Seems excessive.

Wyatt Best: sorry to hear that. Can you please explain a bit more this one: images transmitted to ClickUp all say "cannot be previewed"? When you attach an Outlook email to an existing ClickUp task, then you see this error in ClickUp?
Can you please also give more context about now being able to pin ClickUp add-in in Outlook?

Tadej Jevševar If an email is forwarded into ClickUp, all images attach correctly. If I attach an Outlook email to an existing ClickUp task (i.e. my reply), I see images with no thumbnail that cannot be previewed. However, if I download one, I can correctly open the downloaded PNG.
Re: pinning the add-on: The add-on always disappeared from the Home toolbar when viewing a shared mailbox. However, I was still able to attach emails from a shared mailbox to ClickUp tasks by pinning the add-on to the Quick Access toolbar. This workaround stopped working around the time the add-in icon changed from a round button to a chevron on a square, white background. Now my little hack shows an error message. I assume this was due to a change to how the add-on actually reads mail from Exchange Online.

It would be useful to have the option to post text into a task rather than the email as an attachment.
As a expansion of this point, attachments to the email can be added to the document repository for the task.

From support ticket: It would be nice if we could get Outlook notifications for tasks via the extension.
This would hopefully work similarly to ClickUps built in notifications.

Need to be able to see my tasks in the Outlook view so I don't need to have multiple applications open at once and can have a comprehensive view

Please can there simply be a 'clickup task bar' down the side of my outlook, so i can see all my tasks /lists just exactly the same as the Outlook task bar currently can be viewed...great to have everything in one place
Tadej Jevševar
Hi Anthea Giles, thanks for your feedback. Do you want so see a list of all tasks assigned to you? Do you want to have an option to filter tasks by status (e.g. show only tasks "in progress")?

Add subtask in Outlook

First of all, I am obsessed with Click Up. Thank you for developing such a great platform!
Second, my team uses Outlook heavily and we have enjoyed the Click Up Add-in to attach emails to tasks or create new tasks. We were wondering if you could create a subtask in the Click Up Add-in (still in Outlook)? This would be much more effective for us since often an email may contain extra tasks associated with a larger task. And this would increase efficiency since right now we are attaching the Outlook emails to the task and then opening a browser to get into Click Up and create a subtask additionally.
Thanks again!
