Currently, when building automations with Zapier, there isn’t a straightforward way to find an existing task using a search field (such as task name, custom field, or external ID) before performing actions on it. Adding a “Find Task” action/trigger in Zapier would be extremely valuable.

Our team frequently encounter scenarios where appointments are rescheduled. When that happens, we need to locate the corresponding ClickUp task and update the date/time fields manually.

Without a “Find Task” step in Zapier, it becomes difficult to dynamically locate the correct task to update, which limits automation workflows.
