Y-axis in the list dashboards - Average value
not on the roadmap
Julien da Costa
It would be nice if we could set in the Y-axis of dashboards one of the following: sum or average.
Currently, the Y-axis of the dashboards is summing the values. But in some cases would be nice if we get the average value of a custom field of all tasks.
For example, I have a Social Media list with all posts, and a few custom fields for tasks like: Reach, Likes, Comments, Shares, Weekday, Post type, Topic, Hour, and more. And I would like to create a dashboard that calculates the reach average value of weekday or post type, for example, to understand which is the best day of the week to post, or the best hour, or the best type of post (photo, video, etc.).
As you're summing, if I post more photos than videos, the data will be misleading, as the bar for photos will be higher than for videos, even though videos have a greater reach.
