Hi!
Completely new to ClickUp. Also the first time I use an online platform. I'm used to make (relatively simple) projects with the use of spreadsheets, mindmaps etc.
Standard procedure for me:
Make a WBS up to task level (usuallly 3-4 levels in total) in a spreadsheet. Assign the required time to each task. This gives an idea of the total time required for the project. From there: simple, Gantt-like structures.
My questions:
• Is there a way to make a WBS in ClickUp where I can see a WBS-like (or Gantt-like) structure?
• Is there a way to see the total time required for the project?
BTW, I'm absolutely open to new ways of working/viewing.

- A Birds Eye view of workload across all departments to see which is task heavy, and colour coded by urgency would be brilliant.

Hi Joey, you’ve been busy in here.
On previous tools, having a WBS has helped me layout a project and work out the hierarchy - then understand how many people, or hours I need where, and which task group is the culprit for a backlog of work.
The closet I’ve seen here is the Board view (which I love for work flow tasks by the way). I imagine it wouldn’t work easily on a portable device - but it would be a valuable planning and resourcing tool.
(Along with an offline mode for devices — which I’ve mentioned previously.)

WBS should be the first thing a Project Manager creates, not Task or Activity
Most of the items added to ClickUp list are Tasks or Milestones.
A task or milestone is not a Deliverable or Work package.
If one day the ClickUp team will use the MindMap view to generate WBS then maybe the best way is somehow to let us select one or several tasks and mark them as Deliverable or Workpackage. This approach will let us filter or hide all tasks and milestones on the MindMap view, it will give us a WBS map view structure because the WBS map should only display the Deliverable(s) and Workpackage(s), nothing else.
Developers, product managers, and product owners of ClickUp or any PM tools out there must have a better understanding of the International Project Management method. If they don't follow the international standard then their final product/software is just a Task Management tool, it will never be a full blood Project Management tool as they claimed to be.
99% of the PM tools I've tried in the market today, including MS Project (the veteran) don't follow the standard WBS structure as PMI or Prince2 recommended. Their tools are solely based on Task Management, not the standard project method. The waterfall Project Management method follows the WBS structure, but Agile project management doesn't.
PMI or Prince2 said that: The WBS cannot contain activities, tasks or milestones to be achieved, and it doesn't contain any timing dependencies for performing activities
One of the best WBS tools in the market today is the WBS Scheduled Pro. Even though they call their product "WBS Scheduled Pro", but the first item you add to their WBS tool still calls TASK, not Deliverable or Workpackage. I think they are stuck with the TASK method because their tool is mainly adapted and integrated with MS Project,

Sunsama it's an alternative that you can integrate with ClickUp and a few others sources of task that you may have... So you use the calendar integration to organize your day.
But I think that all of this could be native in ClickUp.

A WBS 'principal purpose is to reduce complicated activities to a task collection. For the project manager this is critical as she can supervise the projects more efficiently than the complicated operations.
