🖼️ Exciting update! Whiteboards 3.0 now includes the ability to create frames and sections, allowing you to organize your content more effectively and keep your ideas neatly structured. This feature enhances your ability to present and manage complex information visually.

Something I do not see on FigJam, and could be a differentiating feature if you implement it before them: the ability to directly link to a specific section/frame, so that when someone clicks the link it would load the canvas with that section/frame as the focus, filling the screen window.

Agreed. Just looking into Clickup now, and saw they had whiteboards and got excited, only to find out they don't have frames which is probably the most used feature! Thankfully it looks like there are ways to integrate miro but I hope one day soon Frames come! (ps, please make it like Figma where there are nestable frames!!)

Whiteboards get filled with a lot of noise on complex projects. Allow layers to view parts or the whole at once. E.g. If a project has part A, B, and C, enable a selective view of objects marked A, or BC, or ABC.

We do plan on adding frames (I love how they work in other tools), but candidly it won't be for a while since there are other higher priority tasks for us to address.
That said, if the community votes this up high enough, roadmaps can always be changed 😎

Having a frame around a shape would help

Compared Whiteboards to Miro again today, as I do ever so often and Frames was the key feature this time missing. There are others but today it was all about Frames.
