Dimitri Weslosky: unfortunately, yes! We're still actively working on it but have had to prioritise quality/perf improvements which has delayed Comments a little. Still a top prio though and thanks for asking :)

We've paused the project following the ClickUp re-org and it will resume once we can unlock eng. capacity.
Very sorry for the bad news, I really wished we could've kept going with it but had to prioritise hard! Hopefully back at it soon.

Whiteboards comments widget

It would be great to get a comments widget on whiteboards that you can place individually.
So not just a generic "chat" area, but individual areas where people can chat on a single Whiteboard.
For example, you might have multiple designs for something put on a Whiteboard, then put a comments area next to each design for people to comment individually on that design.
You might have, say, 3 designs, each with their own comments widget.

Comments on the Whiteboard should be a must-have feature. This chat thing is ephemeral... and notes are something else.
Miro comments works like a charm.

Maria Baker: thanks for asking! This is planned for Q1. We're finishing a few other higher prio items before we get back to this. Once we do, we estimate it'll take us ~4 weeks to complete the feature :)

Cursor comment is cool but I work asynchronously with people around the world and want to be able to comment on an object in a whiteboard and bring it to someone's attention with a tag. Or have someone bring it to my attention by tagging me.
