Ability to comment on a Whiteboard

Would like to be able to add a comment to any item on a whiteboard. E.g., you click an item and there is an "add comment" button. Then, when it has comments, there are comment bubbles on the items.
I would then also like a toggle to be able to hide all comments on the whiteboard so that they do not become distracting when you are working on it.

Absolutely crucial. Whiteboards are a good feature that few competitors offer. But the lack of commenting is stopping me from using it entirely.
Miro have this, obviously, but even draw.io and other free solutions have this in some form. To make it an all in one platform, and continuing to beat the likes of Asana and Trello, user comms in these flowcharts are very important.
ClickUp, please add full collaboration to Whiteboards, as users are already logged in, it makes sense to bring '@Username' style tagging and, or a chat to the interface with tasks that relate to the project / user.

We are currently using mirro as this is a dealbreaker for us. With comments in place we could fully migrate to clickUp as we love this tool!

I'd like exactly the same "Comment" behaviour for images on a whiteboard as we have when images are attached to a task.
I can drop 1, 2, 3 markers on the image and add comments. Having this on whiteboards would be v useful.

We have basic Figma and Miro needs, which means we'd love to replace both with ClickUp Whiteboarding but commenting is critical if we're going to build something (like a design) in the whiteboard.

Mentions will allow you to tag a user within an item (like a sticky note) and send them a notification to let them know they were mentioned on a whiteboard.

We're trying to do a better job of keeping the statuses on feature requests up-to-date so you can more realistically know what ClickUp is working on.
I'll let you all know if we have more questions, but please feel free to add any additional context to this post that you think I should be aware of.

Zach - ClickUp: Our use-case is being able to do design reviews within ClickUp, rather than having to do them directly in Figma. ClickUp's got this feature built in for images attached to tasks, but whiteboards are a great place to do reviews instead

Zach - ClickUp: Our team works visually to create processes and conduct research, including doing so within Google Meet. Tagging and commenting on the whiteboard (whilst presenting) would allow us to onboard more users to use this feature and benefit from ClickUp's integrations and services.

Whiteboard's toolbox would be very useful for correcting PDFs, due to its clarity (underline, strike through, draw).
