When grouping by status, don’t group by List (Folders/Spaces)

in the list view, when I order for status, what I get are all may tasked grouped by list and ordered by status.
Don't get why.
I think could be better, if I group for Status to have all my tasks grouped just by status without any ordering, then I want to order by List, I can sort them.
Then, in the grouping tab could be useful to have a way to just group by List, mostly in the board view.
Anyway, the recap is: there is a little confusion with grouping by Status and List

Folders and Spaces just got more exciting! You now have more flexibility in grouping your List views. Now you can group by Status and turn off the group by List default, so you're no longer confined to grouping by a task's location first! For example, when you're at the Folder level and group by Status, you can see all of the tasks arranged by Status regardless of which Lists they live in.
But wait, it gets better! By toggling on Also group by List, from the Group By: option you can now group other fields like Priority, Assignee, and more, by List! Now get grouping 🙌

Complete? this is still an issue in the everything view. if i want to see
everything
grouped by a certain status, i want EVERYTHING from every list grouped together under the common status. right now Clickup is automatically separating/grouping tasks by List, then grouping them by Status. any way to get around this?Guy Mannerings
Blake Hodges: It shouldn't if you have this toggled off. I just tested it in an Everything List and it worked for me. Hope that helps.

Guy Mannerings: Oh perfect! Good call, that totally does it. Didn’t notice that little guy! Thanks for the help.

Blake Hodges: No problem!

Brendan W: This is really fantastic, thank you! It works as expected, giving me the chance to finally have separate spaces, AND a unified clean view of everything! 🥳

I have found a fairly simple solution to resolve this problem. Simply create a new list, and add the tasks to this list too. You can set up automations so that when a new task is added to these other lists, it will also be added to the new list. The tasks are the same, if you change anything in the original lists it will update / be removed from the new list.
I also turn on 'Task Locations' so that i can see what list the task is actually in.
That way they are all in one list that can be grouped by status and it won't separate the statuses by list.
I hope this helps people! It works perfectly for me, and completely negates the issues people are having here

Is there any update on this topic? This should really be solved, its a real limitation and annoying to deal with workarounds here. Technically, I think it's very similar to how the Board groups multiple projects into single columns, just as a list.
In our case, we're using "Everything" views to track and plan tasks across multiple projects. Currently we have to use a list, grouped by "None" and sorted by "Status", but this has several limitations, like counterintuitive order of status and loosing the ability to reorder items by dragging.

I agree.
I am an ex Trello heavy user, and one reason why I migrated to Clickup is the possibilty to view all tasks in all spaces. I love boards, but when you have many tasks, list view is the thing. As it is now, list view on a space or workspace level is useless. I could use table view, but I have problems with table view. It often loads very slowly (like one minute or never), tasks dublicates and the group lines disappears. The enclosed screen dump is 5 minutes after I chose the table view.
Please fix this with high priority.
