I don't see much lag on the web. I see more lag on the iOS app.
I'm sorry but it's just still too slow - I know you have an optimisation period planned for in a few months.. but we are really going to struggle to wait - it's just draining right now. Feels like a lot of the issue is client side but we are using modern chrome browsers in decent business laptops.
@Zeb For posterity, here's a video of current lag while trying to do basic text editing. This is recorded at 30fps! https://take.ms/RqNpH
I agree - it's painfully slow.
Feels like its largely client side rendering / painting.
For me other than tasks being able to exist in multiple lists this is the biggest pain point.
One of my initial draws to Clickup was that it was feature rich, highly flexible, but most importantly, still performant. It was enough to get me to be a subscriber!
However, lately I've seen such a hit to performance that it's starting to give me PTSD of my Jira days. I'm especially seeing this in the MacOS electron app. Rendering is slower, repaints are slower, data loading is slower, etc. It used to be such a joy to use, and now I'm slowly starting to dread using it - the same dread that I used to have with Jira.
I hope the performance enhancements gets prioritized soon. :(
Desktop app too
lag significantly impact my ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner...I NEED SPEED!!!
We plan on entering our optimization phase from June to August in which will only be focused on performance and speed. Until then, we appreciate your patience as we continue shipping features. Thanks for everyone's feedback and help!
@Zeb: Thanks for your work. I'm still experiencing noticeable lag while editing task info, subtasks, and task descriptions, particularly. Happy to record a video if that would be useful.
@Zeb: As a user - I can't wait for the mobile performance to improve!
But as a developer - I fully understand. It's more agile to optimize the product as a whole than after adding every new feature.
@Jack Granatowski: But Framework is bad, so everything is slow, its not just "one feature". Clickup 1 App was much faster.
