I have the same Problem. Unfortunately, you cannot change the information displayed on the bar on the timeline. It always shows the task name. Therefore it is very important for me that this can be generated automatically from other fields.

Completely agree with this! Would also be super helpful to be able to filter lists based on something in the task name, which we can't currently do. We have some conventions for how we name tasks and we can't easily pull those lists without just saving a list search for the convention. Super frustrating and time consuming.

I agree with this suggestion wholeheartedly. By convention we manually preface all our task names with the custom task ID. We have found this to be useful because some searches won't find the custom task ID unless it's in the name.

YES! I would like task names to be renamed when with other fields on arrival from a portal. I am manually renaming currently!!!

This would be a gamechanger for us - we use recurring work on a weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly basis - being able to quickly identify what period a task applies to would be a huge help!

You can do it with the API, so I made a webhook in make.com (with a free account) that can rename any task and then I just call it from an automation and hand the new name in the automation builder.
