Unread Chats are not bold enough
Daniel Weber
When you're mentioned in a chat, this isn't a problem because the red icon helps. However, when there are chats in channels that you follow but you aren't specifically mentioned, you can BARELY notice the difference in boldness.... and my eyes aren't even that old yet! haha
So if you guys could improve that either by increasing the weight of the boldness or tweaking the color/shade of unread chats, that would be AMAZING. Thank you for your attention to this matter :)

Easier view of unread/read notifications

The bold isn't really enough to show what's unread vs. read in my inbox. I'll have a notification and can't find it because the bold doesn't stand out enough. Maybe instead highlight unread notifications in a different color to make it more distinctive.

A colored notification bubble/symbol on chats (direct messages and channel messages) to make it more apparent there is something unread within it.

Finding that the new update is growing on me!! But I wish there was some sort of way to make it MORE noticeable that there's an unread message in a Direct Message or Channel Message when viewing those under the Home navigation segment. Might be a me thing. Currently, new messages make the chat name bolded. Attached is current and a mock-up of a possible solution?

In App notification for Chats
Kira Robbins
When I receive a message in a Chat, inside of the app, the only notification that I get (outside of the desktop notifications) in app is the font of the name of the Chat, bolded.... It is nearly impossible to see, and definitely does not jump out to grab your attention to let you know that there is a new message. I've missed many messages due to this. Is there another way to show a Chat with a New Message?

Hey Cece Schweitzer! How we have it set up is that the Channel will be bold if there's a new message for you to read, but there will be a badge if you're @mentioned. Direct Messages treat every message as a "mention".
Do you think this is enough? I'm curious what tool you are using/were using before ClickUp Chat?

Brendan W Hi there! Ah, gotcha, okay. I always lived in Chat prior to the 4.0 update because I liked how my Favorite chats were pinned to the top of all, hence why I'm living in / gravitating toward Home dash now. I guess I was misremembering if a numbered badge appeared on Channels, too, regardless of mention or not, similar to how Direct Messages have it. We utilize a mix of the two a lot. Example below from my own screen now, basically already doing the thing despite my ask lol.
Perhaps the real ask is Pinned/Favorite chats back in the Chat dash.

Cece Schweitzer: On Home, you can create a custom section or utilize the default "Favorites" section to store any items you wish! This could be specific DMs, Channels, tasks, Docs, Lists, etc.
Are you looking for these sections to appear on the dedicated "Chat" entry point here in my picture below?
But yes, Channels would only show a numbered badge if you're @mentioned. If you'd like to see a setting added for this, I can merge your request into one that already exists for that!

In Dark Mode, the unread chats are very hard to distinguish

It would be great if there is an alternate colour indicator like a red dot would be great for unread chat
