A lot of people making the switch, including myself, find the interface very cluttered and overwhelming. It can be hard to orient. For example, when creating a space, give us an overview, list, and activity view by default. Let people choose whatever else they want to see or add more views based on a template/duplication of an existing space as they're creating it and thereafter (unless a workspace admin has set custom default views, which can be changed by drilling into the workspace settings). When creating a list, just create the list. I don't need other views preset for everyone. Just give everyone with space access the list, unless I'm creating it from a template, and let individual users create additional, private views as they see fit.

I'd love to see some improvements in the UI and functionality of the inbox.

Currently, for task comments, the only way to post a new non-threaded reply is within the task’s Activity section. The Inbox only allows you to reply within a thread. If threaded comments are disabled, you have to leave the notification and navigate into the task’s Activity section to add a new comment.

I strongly believe all replies from the Inbox—whether threaded or non-threaded—should be made within the underlying task or Chat thread, ideally displayed in the right-hand panel. The Inbox should remain a notification list, not become a separate place where conversations occur.

At present, the interaction is fragmented and inconsistent: sometimes content expands within the notification list, sometimes it appears in the right-hand panel, and sometimes you must navigate into the task itself. A consistent notification list on the left, with the relevant task activity or Chat thread displayed and actionable on the right, would make the Inbox much clearer and easier to use.

Treat task view like dashboards and allow us to set what we want to see where for each task type.

I have 4 standard types of task types:

For these tasks my focus should be on description (scope, goals, etc.) and relationships.

For these tasks my focus needs to be on description (details, acceptance criteria), custom field, subtasks, relationships, dependencies, and attachments. They link up to the parent work container and down to the executable tasks.

These are the unique, assignable tasks that an individual needs to execute in order to deliver on the deliverable. My focus should be on the description, due dates, assignees, comments, dependencies, and relationships.

These are informational and used as references that can be linked to by other tasks. Items like test cases, release IDs, etc.) My focus is on description and custom fields.

Recently, ClickUp introduced the "contrast adjusted" feature.

What this makes in reality, is just to remove the possibility for the user to choose the color he wants.

Let me tell you that this doesn't make any sense. It's up to the user to decide if a color has enough contrast or not.

Let's talk about my example: I used to have some status following the same logic of traffic light: green > yellow > red.

Now, after this feature was implemented, I'm not able to select "yellow" as a color to use on my status.

How can this be disabled? Or please simply just remove this feature, as nobody asked for it and it doesn't make any sense!

Can we make the comment order in the notification in the inbox the same order is it in the task activity sidebar? The inbox shows the newest comment whereas the task activity sidebar is oldest. It get very confusing for people going back and forth as to which comment is the most recent. Also this is amplified when there are replies to comments/threads in the order.

Devs.. PLEASE try the progect management tool called Teamwork Project Management https://www.teamwork.com/ there is a ton to be gleaned from their little know but extremely well put together PM tool. I should note, I came TO ClickUp from Teamwork, and love it, but i miss how smoothly it ran and how much more consistent their UX was.

One of the biggest facets I'd lvoe to see ClickUp replicate from TW, is the way they let a single key stroke ( V - for view ) open a task from a list of tasks in a sidebar. Once you try it, you wont ever want to go back.

Please fix this little "Saved" icon that prevents me from seeing the entirety of my text. It is the bane of my existence. I can't easily re-read what I wrote.

In version 3.0, search results included status names, but they seem to be missing in the 4.0 update.

Would it be possible to bring this feature back? Having the status names visible in the search bar is extremely helpful for workflow, especially when we are dealing with a high volume of tasks.

The new update is, like many updates, worse than what was there before. why change it if it ain't broke!? the side bar when open is so wide and immovable that it obscures half of our calendar. and why has editing on a comment disappeared? Your designers should also be users then they'd be a lot more helpful

I agree; a lot of space is wasted, and I am not able to hide items I don’t need. I only want to see information relevant to my project.
