I suggest to add an option to turn on/off the quotes that appear when all notifications are cleared. That way everyone is guaranteed to have a setting such that they are positively incentivized to clear their notifications.
Allow disabling stupid quotes appearing on my empty notifications screen
I appreciate that some people enjoy these quotes. I am one of the people who it enrages and who is depressed by the quotes. Please let me turn them off. I wouldn't mind if I could put a happy picture of a dog or something, just as long as Dolly Parton doesn't offer me her unsolicited wisdom at the moment I have just reached zen.
The quotes that pop up when I clear my messages tend to be "the only difference is working harder!" when really that's only true when it's a group of cis/hetero/educated-class/presenting white men, eh? You add anyone else to the mix and there's a bit more than hard work that goes into who gets noticed and rewarded. Many of the quotes are from men who have led us to a breathtakingly stark state of inequality in our country. There are other ways to do business, and more diverse sources of inspiration. I think ClickUp is fantastic, and very responsive to its users' diverse needs. The quotes don't match how I see you and experience you as a company.
