Treat tasks as "Normal" priority by default

Adam Lasnik
I have a large list of tasks due today. I'd like to push some of them down towards the bottom of the list by marking them as "low priority"... but unfortunately, since I'm sorting by priority, this means that they'll actually end up towards the TOP of the list (below the Urgent and High Pro items)
SUGGESTED CHANGE:
When sorting by priority, assume that tasks without priority are "normal" priority. So when sorting, it'd look like this:
- Urgent tasks
- High priority tasks
- Normal OR no-priority tasks
- Low priority tasks
Thanks :)

Just ran into exactly the same issue! Please fix this clickup, looks like something tiny, but affects the overviews a lot (negatively) when grouping by status!

I tried to fix this on my end by setting up a space automation that says "When Task Created, Then Change Priority to Normal". Unfortunately this also sets all subtasks created with a Light Blue flag. There doesn't seem to be a way to specify automation to only do this for Tasks and not subtasks...
I would like all tasks to default at "normal" priority, and remove this "x Clear" choice.

I suggest actually adding the "Normal" priority to all new tasks that are created in a space with priorities enabled, not just treating tasks without priority as "Normal". There should be an option to activate this as default behaviour. I have no need to have tasks without a priority, and I want to force all my team members to prioritize all tasks.

I agree.
Currently a task created will be Low priority by default.
Change requested is to let tasks created be Normal priority by default.
