I'm excited to suggest a feature that I believe would greatly enhance the usability of Whiteboards: the ability to transform multiple selected elements into tasks.
Currently, Whiteboards is a fantastic tool for brainstorming and visualizing ideas (even more with Whiteboards 3.0). However, the process of converting multiple ideas into actionable tasks can be somewhat cumbersome.
My proposal is to allow users to select multiple shapes or elements within a Whiteboard and convert them into individual tasks. This would streamline the workflow and make it easier and faster to transition from ideation to execution.
I understand that providing the full range of task customization options (descriptions, custom fields, priorities, etc.) for each element might be complex. However, even a basic task creation with the element's text as the task name would be a significant improvement.
I believe this feature would:
  • Increase efficiency: Reduce the manual effort of creating tasks from Whiteboard elements. It's no trouble for a few elements, but a huge one for bulk task creation.
  • Improve workflow: Seamlessly transition from brainstorming to task management.
  • Enhance collaboration: Allow teams to quickly turn visualized ideas into actionable items. Each team member could now complete all task details, if needed.
