Track automation usage
Tom "Barnwell" Elliott
There are usage caps on automations that are spread across an entire workspace. With many teams using automations in many different ways, it would be very useful to see which automations (grouped by space/folder/list/etc) are gobbling up the most of the usage limits.
This way, a company can internally coordinate the best way to budget automations.

+1. Workspace Administrators need centralized automation visibility, including ownership, status, usage, and execution history. This is a critical governance and administration gap for larger organizations

I agree with all of the comments made on this post. A more summarised view of the usage of credits is essential to managing their deployment and cost...and justifying the cost/benefit ratio if we have to purchase extra credits. The consumption of 'free' credits appears to be very rapid.
This isn't optional or a 'nice to have' - it's expected. ClickUp appears to have a 'close enough is good enough approach' to deployment. At present we can't see the woods for the trees - the current level of detail just results in obfuscation.
A good start would be a simple listing:
Automation 1 Number of times executed Credits consumed
Automation 2 Number of times executed Credits consumed
Automation 3 Number of times executed Credits consumed
etc etc etc
Insights grouped by Space, Folder and List would also be good.

We rely on a large number of automations in our workflows, and we need a clearer, more structured way to analyze their performance. In particular, we want to easily identify which automations are executed most frequently, which are used the least, and how their usage changes over a selected time period.
This improvement will help us better understand automation efficiency, detect underutilized or redundant processes, and make more informed decisions when optimizing our workflows.

This would likewise be useful for AI Agents. All we know so far is the totals used. And somehow last month we blew through our usage ... fair enough, but ... WHERE?! I have no idea. Makes it extremely difficult (and frustrating) to thus then stay within the account limits.

We have repeatedly breached the automation levels for our Business+ account, and had to purchase bolt-ons or have our business processes fail in the last few days of each month.
Following discussions with the account manager, we agreed to a significant incremental cost of Enterprise+, being advised that we would never be likely to reach the 250k, however, just 2 months after upgrading, we are already getting close to the limit.
Consequently, we have had to burn 3 hours of our Professional Services allowance to analyse how the automations are being used and where we can prioritize our usage.
I understand the need to apply some thresholds but not providing the tools to manage against those constraints is forcing us to spend more money or reduce usage of the tool, which is highly problematic from an ROI perspective considering this risks our original business-case.
We really need the tools to manage and monitor automations effectively.

This should be a feature by default. Absolutely crucial to using automations at any level.

Given the significant investment we already make in ClickUp services, it is disappointing to learn that access to essential operational features, such as logs, requires an additional upgrade. It is unreasonable to expect further expenditure simply to gain visibility into how we are already utilizing and being charged for the service. Really upsetting.
The current positioning by ClickUp feels unreasonable - essentially, "if you want to see how you are spending your money, please pay more". This approach is particularly frustrating as it extends to basic functionalities like activity logs or exporting a simple User List, which also requires additional payment. It creates the impression of being repeatedly charged for fundamental features that should be standard.

the fact this is not already build is cause to believe clickup is specifically not building it as it would hurt their bottom line. This is what i call forced upgrades because people do not have tools to determine what actions they can take to keep their automations under the limit .Wild.

Could it be that there is very little incentive for clickup to be transparent here?
Every dollar we save is a dollar they lose.

Please do it, it's so frustrating to have to track down each automation use manually.
