This is so important and so basic that I didn't think to confirm it before signing us up to Clickup. Timesheets are almost useless without controls in place to make sure they are accurate, approved, and properly billed. I should be able to lock time entries prior to a certain period and be totally assured that no one can go in and rewrite history for whatever reason. Otherwise there's a high chance I'm billing incorrectly, and I can't enforce timely timesheet submissions on my team. Accurate and reliable time tracking is so key in any kind of project work, this should be a priority.

I recognize that this is currently in progress, but also we’ve been waiting over 4 years now since the original request came in. Today not having this feature bit me with a client, not to mention there’s limited historical logging to track when the entries were made in a timesheet with no tasks for me to have any valid dispute. Time tracking in project delivery is such a crucial feature, having an approval mechanism should have been a higher priority item.

Any chance this is coming soon? Happy to test/provide feedback :)

I look forward to setting valid times for people to enter time, so nobody can go into a past period and enter time that might break reporting.
