Time Tracking Filter using Time Tags in Dashboard

The ability to add time tags is great! Allows a user to enter if something is a repetitive task (scoping/daily scrum etc.), however, it would be excellent if there was the option to filter on these time tags, for example - Overtime. It would remove the need for manual/separate overtime board as this causes duplication, poor user experience and also can lead to forgotten or inaccurate entries.
This would benefit many areas with so many use cases.
I feel it could be picked up across:
- Tags
- Time Tracking
- Dashboards
- Filtering
- User Experience
- Customer Satisfaction

I actually don't see any way to aggregate or otherwise utilize time tags at this point. Am I missing something?

Time Tags "Are Not" filter

Please add a "Time Tag(s) Are Not" filter in the Time Reporting widget settings.

Totally agree! I think the original question starts with the difference between Time Tags and Task Tags.
But if there's a tag, the data is there to be able to easily create as a metric in a dashboard. This feels like a simple solution on CU's end.

Below are the screenshots that display the issue.
- TAGS in Tasks:
This screenshot shows a list of TAGS I have created in this list.
TAGS in Tasks.png
- TAGS in Track Timer do not reflect with search results using FILTERS.
TAGS in Time Track.png
3.DASHBOARD Card: Search results only provide TAGS in Tasks and NOT TAGS in Track Timer.
CARD Filters do not include TAGS in Time Track.png
Please explain why tags are not universal. I don't understand.
Is this something that Clickup is working on? Is there a resolution on the road map for 2024?
If there is a way to review all tags in one place with a filter, that would be great to know.

I really need that ! 💚
I'm using clickup alone. I'm developping time management skills and want to stick to my timeblocks. I need so to be able to track my tasks but to distinguish normal tracked time and extra tracked time (when I spend to much time to a project regarding to another).
Time tags allow me to distinguish normal from extra time. But Dashboard and time cards doesn't allow me to filter my time to see only my "normal time" yet.
This would be a great feature for time management improvement.

Yes to this and would also love if the time tracking tags could be used as a bar graph axis option. Context- we use ClickUp as a CRM and want to track how many hours we work with each client and we'd love to have time tracking tags as years and A) have a dashboard that quickly shows our total work and B) have an easy way to total our hours for the annual report

Yes we need this feature too. We have a lot of dash with time information, hours, task, people, but none of them have a totalizer of hours in a date range. It is essential for project tracking to have the total hours of a project over a range of dates. When we have a dash broken down by folder it does not bring the total of all the folders in a single number. You have to add them up one by one.
Now please a totalizer by date range!!!! We really appreciate it!!

Thats a very important feature request!

Definitely need this for us to use Timesheets or Time dashboards. We currently track time in various systems for purposes of company policies and billables, and without being able to quickly see how much is time is spent per user, and by the team in any given week on each system, we'll need to keep that in excel.

Yes and yes and yes

I'm not familiar with time tags. What is the difference between "Time" tags and regular tags?
Carlos Adolfo Teixeira Duarte
Michael: You're right. We shuold start with this clarification.
Michael
Now that you commented I went back and looked Carlos Adolfo Teixeira Duarte: I'm not on the "Business" plan, so they're not available to me! Carry on :p
