Time tracking against client budgets

We want to be able to track the total number of hours logged for each of our clients, and compare that against their allocated budget or retainer. Ideally, this would give us a clear view of how much time has been used and how much remains. This visibility is important for managing client expectations, staying within agreed time limits, and ensuring clarity across the agency.

I created a solution for clients which allows you to set a time or monetary budget for each client per month (or any other time frame). An external Make.com automation sums up all time tracking for the client for the given time period and adds it automatically to the overview. A formula compares budget vs. actuals and returns if you are in, close or over budget. On top of that an automation notifies you, when you hit a certain budget threshold. This would be massively helpful for us.
Being able to assign an amount of hours to each folder/list that is their ongoing monthly retainer hours would be great for us to compare their actual time tracked each month
