Time Range (Logging time)

When we try to log time through Time Range option, it shows default range as 12:00 am to 12:30 am. Instead it should be the current time. It is always a pain to change from 12:00 am. Most cases, we attempt to log time immediately or near current time. 12:00 am is not useful in any manner.

Hey all! You should be able to navigate to the Range option and see it pre-filled with time!

Eric Wightman: what's changed? For me it was already prefilling with current time in the From field. Though as per my comment below, that doesn't fit my usage; it should prefill current time into the To field instead, because how do you know what time you'll finish a task in the future?

Brendan Jones: My update is noting that previously ( when this post was originally created in 2019) it didn't fill the current time. That has since changed, so I updated this post. Your question on filling in the "To" time is actually something our team is discussing! Weird, I don't see the same thing as the other people here. When I go to log a time range, the From time is prefilled with the current time, and the To field is blank.
I'd like this to be reversed - the current time should be prefilled in the To field. This is because I never log future time in time range, but rather work I've already done. If it's work I've just completed, it's useful for the current time to be in the To field.
The current time should never display in the From field - I'd rather it be blank.

When you click in the "Time" field it lists 12:00am to 11:30am, which isn’t very helpful if you’re entering a bunch of afternoon Times into a group of tasks. If the times listed were Working Hours like from 8:00am to 5:00pm, that would be more helpful. Or, better yet, if the Times were customizable so we could choose the Time range that would be listed, since some of us need 8 to 5 while others need the current time forward. It's not a huge problem, but the repetition of having to scroll down every time to get a time that is not listed on the visible part of the drop-down list gets tiring after a while.
And when you enter a 1, it would be helpful if it displayed both 1:00am and 1:00pm as options instead of only 1:00am.
And, in addition to being able to select the desired Time by clicking on it with the mouse, I’d really like to be able to press the keyboard Tab key to toggle through the Time options listed and then press the keyboard Enter key to accept the desired Time. That would be very helpful.
