Time in Status trigger (task has been in a status for X hours/days)

I'd like to have an automation that is triggered by the time in a status. For example: When task has been in Review status for 5 days, add tag.
Another example for user support: When task is In Progress status for 10 days, send email template.

Hey everyone, I’m excited to share with you all that we’ve officially shipped the Time in Status condition!
While I know this doesn’t cover everything you’re looking for just yet, we hope it helps save you time as we continue working toward building the Trigger in the future.Thank you for your patience and support!
I will change the status of this Feature Request to "Future" as I am aware we have NOT shipped the main ask here for making this a trigger 🙏
Please continue to vote and comment on this feature if this is a critical workflow blocking need from you. At the end of the day, we shape our roadmaps around the most impactful asks from the community!

Add time based logic to automations

Currently I have to manually move everything from "Scheduled" to "Done". I'd like to have the ability to say after task has been over to "Scheduled" (or whatever status) move to "Done". Basically a way to automatically close out tasks after a certain amount of time has passed.

We would like a feature that would flag a card if it stays in a status for a long time. Or you could release the timing in that status as a trigger for automation to apply some subsequent action. It serves, for example, to signal that a lead has been at that stage of a CRM for a long time, or that that post has been written for a long time, etc.

Run automation #days after status change.

Currently, we can set up automation trigger for status change. But it would be extremely beneficial to be able to run the automation #days (before/after) status change date.

Ability to trigger based on a status change + X days after that status is changed!
#1. Auto Complete/Closed status 30 days after the status changed to DONE.
#2. Auto Archive 60/90 days after the status changed to complete/closed status.

This capability is critical for operational workflows.
In many environments (logistics, warehouse operations, support queues), tasks must be acknowledged within defined time windows - e.g. “If a task remains in NEW for 10 minutes, escalate.”
Currently Time in Status only exists as a condition, which means there is no reliable way for ClickUp to autonomously monitor and enforce these SLAs without another event triggering the automation.
What’s needed is a native trigger such as:
“When Time in Status ≥ X minutes → run automation.”
This would enable proper SLA enforcement, queue monitoring, and escalation workflows. Without it, teams must rely on manual monitoring or external automation tools for something that should be native to the platform.
Strongly supporting this feature request.

Add "time in the status" as trigger

Our case : we want to send a message to current assignees when the status doesn't change for a long time.
Proposed solution : add the trigger based on the time spent in the status (with duration settings)

It would be great if you can add an option to make an automation based on Time in Status , for example to automatically change ticket to Status Closed after 14 days in Status Completed - would be very useful

If the Time in Status for "To Do" reaches 30 minutes or more, trigger an email notification with the message "SLA has been breached" and change in Status
