Time Estimate Automations
Puakela Nakama
I am trying to set up an automation based on time estimates for an entire Space. I would like to flag a task as a top priority if the time estimate is more than 1hour, but I do not see an option for that when creating the automation.

This feature is crucial for estimation-based teams to better understand how time is being allocated. Since Time Estimates can be updated at any time, Automations should support actions triggered when this field changes. Currently, most fields are supported as triggers—except for the Time Estimate field.
Our Use Case:
We create tasks with clear descriptions and expectations for the team. Each team member reviews their tasks at the start of the day and estimates their workload accordingly. If we had a trigger for estimate changes, we could receive notifications when updates occur or validate whether the new estimate exceeds the allocated time for that day.
This would be incredibly helpful for managing workload and maintaining efficiency!

Thanks to Support and IT Team for realizing this feature! Looking forward to it!

Fully agree. I want an automation triggered if somebody from my team changes the time estimate since I cannot forbid them doing it. Very important feature!

I would really see a trigger based on added or changed time estimates useful to, e.g., highlight such tasks to the project manager to inform the customer, or to trigger some workflow to update plans according to the new estimate.

Just mentioning that you can time estimate as an action or as conditions, but not as a trigger.
We're heavy users of time estimations and wish to implement that in the company culture, and it makes the case multiple use cases for automations such as using tags / custom fields to visually mark tasks that are especially short or especially long (according to their time estimate), or have them organized in certain views, etc.
