Time-Based Auto Progress Bar in List View
GALINDO, A. C.
I'm a very visual person and I've already found a feature in other project/task management apps that I'd love to see in ClickUp. It's a progress bar based on the duration of the task (from start date to end date). I'd be really happy if this feature could be added to the list view. I'll give you a little more detail of what I imagine below.
DESCRIPTION
I suggest introducing a dynamic, time-based progress bar for tasks in ClickUp's list view. This feature would automatically calculate and visually represent task progress based on the start and end dates, providing users with an at-a-glance understanding of task completion status relative to its timeline.
KEY COMPONENTS
- Auto-Calculated Progress: The progress bar would automatically update based on the current date relative to the task's start and end dates.
- Visual Representation: A colorful bar in the list view that fills from left to right as time progresses.
BENEFITS
✓ Provides a quick visual indicator of task progress without needing to open individual tasks.
✓ Helps identify tasks that may be falling behind schedule.
✓ Enhances project overview by allowing easy identification of overall project progress.
Complements existing manual and checklist-based progress indicators.
USE CASES
✧ Project managers can quickly assess the status of multiple tasks in a project.
✧ Team members can prioritize their work based on task progress and deadlines.
✧ Stakeholders can get a clear picture of project advancement without diving into details.
I believe this feature would significantly enhance ClickUp's task management capabilities, especially for users who rely heavily on timeline-based project planning and execution.
