Tarun Masani: Hi Jorgen, could you perhaps reopen this issue as it's not really done. ClickUps E-Mail functionalities are great, but they do not allow to receive E-Mails natively in ClickUp from the sender, if you're using Thunderbird and NOT Outlook and NOT Gmail. Then the only chance you have is to forward a received email from your own E-Mail Address to Clickup, but the creator is no more the sender then.
There's no solution to have the original sender as creator of the ticket after receiving the E-Mail in Thunderbird before.
Or am I wrong?
As user story: "As a ClickUp User I want to create a tasks as the sender from an incoming email after I received the mail in my Inbox. I can not use Outlook or Gmail for company reasons."
As there are only solutions for Gmail and Outlook, but not for Thunderbird, as this Feature Request asks for, please reopen the issue if you agree it's not fixed yet.
Another more flexible solution might be to be able to drag and drop emails to ClickUp, as discussed here: https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/drag-and-drop-mailsdocumentsweblinks-to-create-tasks
But that also doesn't make this Feature Request "Complete" :)

Hey there, Rick! For this, I'd recommend our native Email + ClickUp integration! https://docs.clickup.com/features/email-clickup
Julian Pustkuchen
Tarun Masani: Sorry Jorgen but I think this is not solved. Thunderbird should be treated like Outlook Client, for which exists an AddOn. There's no such addon for Thunderbird yet I guess?
If ClickUp will one day provide an integrated email client to replace TB, that would be perfect too.

Julian Pustkuchen: see my comment above.
Julian Pustkuchen
David Gilroy: thank you! Is it open source? We'd have to look into the source code before using an untested / unpublished / unreviewed Thunderbird Plugin for security reasons. Or will you publish it at ClickUp or Thunderbird Apps?
David Gilroy
Julian Pustkuchen: Yes, it will be open sourced when it is finished. In the mean time, feel free to email me on the address above and I can send you a link and installation instructions to the current WIP version.
