Update Nov 2025: This feature is on our radar, but not on the committed roadmap at this time. We are hoping to get to this soon, and I'll keep this request updated with anything new as we move forward.

Caroline Ginty Appreciete the update. This is a feature that would greatly benefit my company. I look forward to seeing it included in your roadmap sometime in 2026 or 2027. Based on the number of upvotes, I believe many users share the same anticipation.

This would need to work exactly as Time Tracking, which separates the value set on the task itself, from the value rolled up from child tasks. This would allow the "condensed" sum of both aspects be visible in views/columns.
It'd be ideal that all formula fields which are numeric were able to be treated the same way.

This is important for linked tasks where subtasks end up collecting additional information important to the parent.

Rollup Subtasks fields & custom Fields to the Main Task

I want to rollup the subtasks fields (Main fields or the custom fields) to the parent task so I can build the dashboards base on that rollup result

Task custom field sum of corresponding custom field of subtasks

I'm not sure if this is already possible but I would like to be able to create a custom field for a parent task that is the sum of each subtask of the parent task. My idea is to track my account balance in the parent task and to include each transaction as a subtask. I realise there is a calculate column option to determine the sum of a column but this sum figure does not appear to be accessible for triggering automations. For example, I would like to trigger an alert to top up balance if the balance in the parent custom field falls below a certain level. Perhaps all this is already possible and I'm not thinking far enough outside the box.
