The ability to roll up the values of a Custom Field from subtask to parent task

Just to clarify, are you talking about something like this example?
You have an Email field. You open a subtask and enter an email into that field. When you open the parent task, it's already filled with the same email.
Or do you mean something more complex, like rolling up and summing values?
