Template version control
Alex Howard
Allow users to have control over templates that they've created so that if a template is overridden it can still be accessed.

Last week, I faced an issue while testing the addition of custom fields to a task's details area. After adding the fields, a confirmation prompt with a number appeared. Unaware of the potential consequences, I proceeded, which resulted in all tasks within the space being updated and crucial information being removed. Please develop a method to restore the lost information or revert the template to its previous state without requiring manual re-entry.

This is really needed, we had a issue recently of someone accidentally overwriting an old template we can't restore and now need to start again.

If a template was edited or changed in any way, add the option to restore a previous version of that template, similar to Docs.

The ability to restore a deleted template or to go back to a previous version would be great for workflow.

Yes...I accidentally overwrote a template onto a task instead of applying one. UGH! I had to start and make the whole template over again. DEVASTATING!

Yes, please. I accidentally saved over a template when I was trying to browse and apply one. Devastating!

A user updated a folder template and, for some reason, removed a large amount of content from some of the subordinate lists. I don't know who made the change or why. Versioning of the templates would allow me to see a) who made the change and b) restore an old version. This would save a lot of rework at this point.
