Tasks with custom "Done" status still "open"
Frederick Müller
I created a custom "Done" status called "Declined". I would assume, that tasks with the status "Declined" are not considered "open" in the left navigation (folder and list view). In my screenshot there are three tasks "declined" for the lists "Sprint-36, 37, and 38".

Don't count tasks in done statuses in the sidebar

Agree. I have a Blog Content list that I use to keep track of all of our content and view as a calendar. Once a post has been published, we change the task status to "Published" which is a "done" status in the list.
However, the number of tasks in the sidebar includes tasks that are technically "done" and published blog posts. This makes no sense! If a task's status is "done" then they should not be included in the count of outstanding tasks.

Hey everyone!
Thanks for reaching out about this! This is actually the intended behavior with the Sidebar count right now, since tasks with a Done status are meant to be shown by default in views.
We'd certainly be willing to change this based on user feedback, and we've moved this to our Feature Request board to see what everyone is thinking!

Brent Evans: I don't understand why a DONE status would be considered open, or counted, and this be intended behaviour?
Frederick Müller
Morgs: exactly!

Brent Evans: I don't understand why differentiating between "Done" and "Completed" and why this is "intended behaviour". If a task is "Declined", it's "done" and "completed", otherwise we could created a "non-closing" status like "Considered in future" or so. I mean imagine creating a bug reporting list: "Declined" is a valid and "completed" status (answer) for a task, and should not be considered as "open". Maybe I'am wrong here and don't see the big picture. Please help me out. Kindly regards from Berlin, Freddy
