Tasks with a "waiting on" dependency should be below the dependency that's blocking it

In the instance of the image I captured, both tasks are set for the same due date and status. They are sorted by due date and priority. However, the task that should be completed second is actually showing above the task that should be done first.

Couldn't agree more!! We can sort by dependency in List view, but it sorts based on the task name of the blocking dependency... not by the actual order of what is blocking and/or waiting on what. Sorting by the task name of the related task is virtually useless and is totally unrelated to the actual dependency function. Also, sorting by dependency doesn't exist in Gantt view at all, which is the view where it is easiest to create and change dependencies. I often have multiple tasks to be completed within an hour (the smallest timescale in Gantt view), and since we can't sort by dependency order, the tasks are a complete jumble, and it's impossible to even see the dependency connections clearly because they are all overlapping with each other (see attached image). A smaller timescale (15 minutes) would help with this (and other issues), but we really should be able to sort by dependency sequence in Gantt and other views. Please, please fix this!!

I'm surprised this isn't already a feature.

I think what you're asking for here is the option to auto-sort by dependency? Would definitely be handy, it would save a bunch of manual dragging and dropping.
