task sync to google calendar

Syncing any task should be labeled as a task in google calendar and not as an event, putting a time in the task creates an event for that time and blocks out time since it is considering that task as an event

I disagree on this. If at all, this should be an additional setting when linking to Google Calendar.
It depends on how you work. I deliberately don't use the task feature in Google Calendar because colleagues can't see them when they look in my calendar to plan a meeting. I always add my tasks as an event in my calendar, because that's what I will be doing at that moment and I don't have time or attention for something else. And that's then also being seen by my colleagues.
In fact: no human can work consciously on more than one thing at a time. So why do you want to be available when you plan to work on a task?
So the current setup - sync tasks as events - should definitely remain available!

I agree with Brian it should be an option.

Brian: Agreed. I don't use the task feature in Google. I do time block my calendar with tasks, so current set up to sync tasks as events should remain available.

Also I wish I can create events in ClickUp Calendar that are not tasks

Thank you for the suggestion! We'll keep this in mind as we look to improve our calendar integrations
