Recurrence only fires on done/complete statuses right now, which is the assumed default but too rigid for workflows where a custom non-done status is the actual handoff signal for the next cycle.
Not something we're building right now, but it's a real gap and a logical extension of how recurring tasks should work for more advanced status setups.
