Sync status template changes across all projects.

Two things:
1) When editing statuses, there seems to be a weird delay between when I make a change and when it actually reflects in ClickUp. Either that or sometimes the changes I "Save" don't actually take at all.
2) Please add a feature to rename a custom status group. Right now I can only create or delete, but if I want to rename I can't.

I dont understand how ClickUp doesnt do this, a Template is meant to be a shared format to keep tasks/lists unified. So it makes no sense that editing a template would not update all locations where this template is being used.
Why have templates at all if they were not meant o be kept unified across your workspace when being updated.

Would love to have a way to update all projects when the template is updated.
If a project is created from a template, and that template is updated. Then we may need to update existing projects to the new template. Having a way to do this easily would be huge for us! Even if its a prompt on each project to update it. We potentially have 50 projects or more at a time running the same template and would need to update them all manually!

Chris Bevins: This is exactly what we need too!!!

Would also love this, or a way to export custom status templates from project to project

Hey there, Michael! We're having trouble re-creating the issue you're facing, but we really want to have this fixed! If you have just a couple of minutes, I'd like to ask you for a bit of help
My team wants to know if you're able to re-create the issue on your side and then shoot us a message as soon as it happens so we can check our logs. This will better help us track down the source of the issue and have everything as it should be as quickly as possible.
Either way, please let me know and we'll do what we can to have this resolved!
As for renaming templates, I've added you to the feedback thread we have for this feature: https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/edit-templates

Tarun Masani: You try it. Create a template, add your statuses, and then save it. Then go back into it by clicking the ellipses on a project and selecting Settings > Task statuses. Then click on the template you created and try to REMOVE a task. Then Review > Save, and exit the modal. Come back into the same thing 10 seconds later and none of the changes have been saved.
Here's my exact testing procedure:
1) Click the project ellipses > Settings > Task statuses > + New template
2) Create template with my appropriate tasks and colors
3) Review > Save and exit
4) Click the project ellipses > Settings > Task statuses > At this point I need to manually click the name of the task group I just created since for some reason (and I think this should be changed to) it defaults to "Custom" instead of the task group I created. Why wouldn't this default to the task group?
5) Click on ellipses next to task named "Working" and select the trash can to delete
6) Review > Save and exit
7) To confirm my changes were (or in this case, were not) saved, Click the project ellipses > Settings > Task statuses > and select my task name again
For your own logs, my task group is named "Standard (Reversed)" . I clicked into my "Automotive" project and manually selected this task group. After doing so, I clicked on the ellipses for the "TEST" status. I clicked the trashcan to delete. I saved my settings. I did this exactly as mentioned above at 1:43 PM EST.
Important: Everything here applies to both task names, colors, or their very existence. It's also worth noting that changing and saving the settings seems to ONLY apply to the "Custom" template ONLY for that specific project. Therefore, it's not actually updating my "Standard (Reversed)" template, but is saving the settings into my "Currently in use" template, which is not my intention at all otherwise I wouldn't have clicked into "Standard (Reversed)".

Michael Ferullo: Hey there, Michael. Right now status templates are for filling in the custom project statuses with the template you created in the past. We do this this way, so that you can create a status template, but still modify it for a single Project without affecting your other Projects. It sounds like what you're looking for is for status templates to be synchronized across different Projects that are using the same template. This is not something we have in ClickUp yet, but I will be converting this thread into a feature request.

Tarun Masani: Okay - yes. I am definitely looking for status templates to be synchronized. However, I'd prefer the entire process to be more intuitive. Right now, ClickUp actually allows me to click on the old template and make changes to it, but then it only saves it into the "Custom" template for that particular project (as you've stated above). This actually causes problems for me because if, in the future, I create a new template and assign it to the entire "Space" expecting all of the other projects to inherit it, they don't. Then I have to go through each project and manually find those with "custom" templates. It's really annoying, especially since almost all of my "Spaces" are designed in a way to have the same statuses. I can see why it's done this way, but I wouldn't allow the user to edit custom created statuses if it's not going to actually save into that template. I would just allow them to pick the status and then edit the "Custom" template, if that makes sense.
Nonetheless, I would definitely like to see a status synchronization feature...

Michael Ferullo: Thank you for your feedback here. I have passed this along to the team, and we hear you loud and clear. Just in case, in your Space settings you can quickly see which Projects have different statuses than the Space, and you can quickly edit them right from the Space settings screen!

Tarun Masani: +1 here! It would be helpful to include an option to push a template update to all lists utilizing the template. That way a custom field created later could be rolled out.
