Support MCP (Model Context Protocol) in Clickup AI
building now
Lasse Schuirmann
It'd be dope if clickup AI would support https://modelcontextprotocol.io/ .
With that its agent could instantly integrate with a ton of tools without you having to do first party integrations in the first place.
Some tools like cursor.ai just allow you to paste in an MCP link and bam, you have it in your agent.
Support this ONE thing and save time integrating all the others. Let your users do the job and give them the power to integrate properly.

have recently tried to connect Copilot to Clickup using MCP and it seems to have a limitation in accepting a Microsoft Azure URL for the Redirect URL because the Copilot MCP server path URL is a full path with forward slashes etc and Clickup Api is truncating the URL which breaks the OAuth 2 processes. Until that is corrected we seem to be blocked from accessing the MCP possiblities

Hi everyone!
Super exciting news: we are almost ready to enable closed beta testing for Custom MCP 💗
You'll be able to connect your own MCP servers to your Super Agents and Brain, which unlocks unlimited customization for your AI workflows.
If you'd like to participate in the beta and get early access, please drop us a line here: https://forms.clickup-stg.com/333/f/ad-4797877/RIGT29OV9B2MWXXYYJ
Can't wait for you to try this.

We're working with Claude and the ClickUp MCP connection. In general it works very well, but we have encountered a limitation and I was wondering if it is already included in the roadmap or if it could be considered. I explain it below:
When analyzing the comments assigned to a task from the IA assistant (Claude), the following limitation has been identified in the ClickUp MCP connector:
PROBLEM
The clickup_get_threaded_comments tool returns thread replies correctly, but it doesn't include the assignee field in every reply. This makes comments assigned within threads invisible to the assistant, who can only read the assignees of top-level comments.
IMPACT ON OUR CASE
Claude detects 13 assigned comments (4 open, 9 resolved) instead of the 33 real ones (11 open, 22 resolved). Any review flow or pending summary from the assistant will be incomplete.
PROPOSED SOLUTION
Expand the clickup_get_threaded_comments response to include the assignee, assigned_by, and resolved fields in each reply, just as clickup_get_task_comments already returns them for top-level comments.
Thank you very much.

Hey all! We’re in the final stretch of rolling out custom MCP support for Super Agents, and I’d love to hear which MCP servers you’d most want as out‑of‑the‑box templates so it’s fast to connect and get set up.
Derek Cummings
Miron Puzanov n8n's instance-level mcp would help us considerably, also drupal's mcp, ahrefs, those come to mind, but as long as there's a custom mcp connector that's all that matters.

I second the n8n, and would love if we can get google workspace and google cloud

Allowing us to install them ourselves custom over all will be best, natively it would be nice to have: Google (workspace/cloud), AWS,Microsoft (365,Azure) ,Wordpress/WooCommerce, HubSpot, metricool,QuickBooks, Blitzit, ring central, docker, cursor, gamma.app, figma/figjam, zapier, make.com, N8n, Cloudflare, drupal, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Other lLM’s.

Miron Puzanov Goole NoteBookLM, and CraftDocs, please.

Miron Puzanov we have some use-cases with Docusign, which is the following MCP Server: https://developers.docusign.com/platform/mcp-server/

For our team, Google Work Space (Specifically Google Drive, Docs & Sheets) & Front Team Inbox (Emails) would be awesome to leverage Clickup Super Agents into these tools.

Miron Puzanov I'd love if ClickUp integrated with Granola's MCP so that I could have a super agent that incorporates my meeting notes!

I use context7 (The most used MCP tool on the market ) as a profound tool for one of my agents to provide exact documentation that is relevant to the request we are doing development work against. This ensures best practices are implemented as a development approach.

Custom MCP Connections for Super Agents

Add the open MCP protocol so we can add our own MCP connections for a full suite of apps. Without this, no one can fully move over to super agents.

Yes... please.

We've built an MCP server for our own data and this feature would let anyone on the team pull customer data, stats, analyze anomalies, using natural language.

Thibaut: thats awesome, we are currently working on something that supports HTTP Streamable, and SSE. along with Oauth and API keys.
as long as your server falls in that camp we should be able to support it. I'm hoping the team ca get something in beta soon and when we do we will post again.
