Sum custom fields of sub tasks

A parent task sums the custom fields of subtasks somehow. So, if one task has 10 subtasks, each with a budget, the parent task can adopt the sum of the sub tasks as a tick box option or something? It looks like its already possible in the dashboard to ignore subtask values when reporting, but there needs to be a way to then pass any subtask values up to its parent task. Does this make sense?

I'm using ClickUp for swag inventory. I have it set up that each of the different sizes of a specific item are subtasks under the item task. Each subtask has the quantity of that size, but there's no way for me to see the total number of all the subtasks on the parent task.
