Sum Count of Number Column
complete

It would be absolutely amazing if we could have a sum total of our Numbers Column at the bottom of a status. Eg. We have a certain amount of images per job, per status and would love to know the total amount of images we need to edit. (See screeshot of what we had in Monday.com).

Zeb: did you see the cross sum request? Should I start a new thread for that?
Zeb
Dani: We've got formula fields coming soon, which should do exactly what you're looking for!

Zeb: DOES IT EXISTS?

Zeb: I saw now. It's amazing!!

It would also be great to have a cross sum feature. So say you put 5 number columns next to each other with sum at the bottom. If you could then sum the sum's that would be amazing!
Super helpful for daily tracking down the tasks and monthly tracking down the rows with a yearly total at the end to see where you are at, among other use cases I have already planned.
Very standard spreadsheet work.

Hi Krystelle Dumesny have you changes from monday to clickup? Why? I will try to convine some friends who are on monday and maybe you have a couple of observations. Thx.

Dran: We only moved from Monday.com due to the price point. I feel like Monday.com is more simple and a bit more user-friendly so I would still be with it if I could! The reporting is better as well :-( I miss it! But ClickUp is less than half the price so really can't complain.

Yes I back this update. It would be good for writing my book, and each chapter I could put the number of words I can see the overall progress.

This would be an amazing implementation as this would make it easier for collaborators and guests that aren't native to the system to see and reference a simple numeric value. Would greatly appreciate this!

This would be extremely helpful! Especially when it comes to calculating billable overage hours per month.

This is a must! We had this in Airtable too and is helpful for calculating billable overage hours per month at our agency :)

Zeb: I just submitted a bug report on this but not sure it's a bug or needed functionality so dropping here too.
The sum is only summing parent items, not subtasks. We either need that fixed as a bug or an option to tell it to indeed sum everything in the column.
Thank you!
Dani
Zeb: So upon playing with this further there are additional issues with subtasks and this functionality. It's currently set to where when you sort the column it is not sorting the subtasks independently of the parent item.
Without this functionality summing is almost irrelevant because we can't sort the content either unless we convert to tasks.
This is really pointing to a bigger issue with recurring tasks honestly. I want to be able to say recur this task every day for 1 year and have it spit out 365 tasks that I can immediately customize and 365 spots on the calendar at the same time each day. That would eliminate this problem and the sorting because we wouldn't need to hack.
