It would be great to be able to set start dates for recurrences just like how you can set due dates.

Ivan Villa: Is there a way currently to add recurring start And due date? I believe I'm seeing you can set one or the other but not both.

It appears that this feature is fixed now! https://docs.clickup.com/en/articles/3388666-recurring-tasks

Jonathan Starr: recurrence for start dates not working!
Andrew Bull
Please can we have this feature. Having a recurring start date is essential.

Why start date is not changed for recurring task? There is no sense in this. This bug should be fixed.
Alvin Dziurzynski
Absolutely and there should be an option for the system to use the start date to calculate the next recurrence without regards to when it was completed. For example, I finish a task today scheduled for tomorrow which is on a 14 day recurring cycle. An option should be available to calculate the 14 days from the scheduled date not the completion date.
CU blows the socks off my old task management system but not when it comes to this. That old system had two choices: recurring from completion date or recur from scheduled due date. It did everything I needed it to insofar as recurring.

Hey guys, any new updates on this feature? I use recurring tasks a lot for my agency and it allows us to have all our weeks planned out in our calendar too. Task start dates aren't readjusted when the task is completed for the new recurring date. This means we have to manually adjust all tasks in the calendar for every task (and keep them without start dates). If we could have start and end dates it would be amazing both recurring it would be amazing. Even if there was a feature for a "task time" that could be activated if a specific time was set for the task. This means that in the calendar the task would have a duration of that time.

Any updates on this? As others have said, it's pretty imperative to use start dates so that you can control when tasks show up on your list that are recurring.

Agree! I'd like to use "timeblocking" with the google calendar integration. But cannot do so currently.
