Stacked bars
Juan Erazo
Hi,
I would like to build bar charts that show multiple values (one bar per formula) for each project, to give a clear financial snapshot.
Currently, we’ve noticed two limitations:
Bar charts only allow a single value per bar, so we can't display multiple metrics side by side for the same project.
While it is possible to use a formula field as the value (Measure By) in the chart, when we try to Group By, ClickUp does not allow selecting a formula field. This prevents us from grouping or segmenting the data based on those calculated metrics.
This functionality would be extremely valuable for project-based financial reporting. Are there any existing workarounds for this, or could this be considered for future development?
Thank you for your support and for continually improving ClickUp’s features.

This is a much needed feature.
One very specific use case for us that came up recently is we want to track which employees are assigned to a project/task as a study lead and those who are assigned as a study supporter. Both of these are people custom fields in our workspace. Our management wants to be able to see these values at a glance, but the best we have been able to provide to them is two bar charts where they have to add the numbers together. This is not ideal, especially for busy executives. This is just one example of several where having multiple 'measure by' options in the bar chart would be helpful.
This is such a common feature in so many other software applications that the absence of it is shocking. When someone attempt to put together a dashboard with multiple 'measure by' values, like they can in other software, they are surprised by ClickUp's limitations. Ultimately this sets a precedence that goes against ClickUp's slogan of "One app to replace them all".
Please consider adding this feature.
I have removed the names of our users for security and privacy from the screenshot provided. You have to lookup a user name on the left chart and find their number then look up their name on the right chart (which is a different color by the way, with no way to remove/change them) and look up that number and add them together.

In dashboards, the tasks by assignee bar in the bar chart could further be broken down as a stacked bar showing task status.

It would be awesome to have vertical bars which are comprised of several different sections, each of a different color. Example shown in the attached image.
In this case, each bar would represent a project team’s overall effort/capacity, and each colored section would represent their effort allocated to each assigned project.
