The search/filtering not working on task id is incomprehensible.
Does the Clickup team even use ClickUp themselves? If so, they would know searching for a specific id is basic functionality. What's the use of an ID if you can't search for it?

I totally agree! My problem is sometimes the tasks get out of order and I need a way to order them. This would have been a great way to do it

Yes! Need this! And please can we customise the subtask custom IDs separately: What I need are Main Task IDs which follow a standard format (AB1002) and subtask ID which refers back to main task (AB1002-01, AB1002-02).

Every other field can be sorted, but not this one...?

Agree! Crucial to be able to search for a unique ID

We use the custom task IDs ALL the time to connect Clickup to our other project documents, emails, messages, etc. So when I see one referenced and I want to know more, I .. can't?
I tried searching for that specific custom task ID in the search bar, and I added the Custom Task ID column to the Everything list but realized I couldn't sort in any order.
My other 3rd attempt was to add the "Created Date" column because I thought the Custom Task ID would be chronological, but no dice there either. It is almost chronological, but the subtasks I think mess the logic and it jumps from XXX-977 to XXX-508 followed by XXX-982.
Now I'm stuck with a list of projects and tasks I want to look up but can't unless I know more info like description, task name, etc, which defeats the purpose of having a unique identifier.
Please fix this oversight! Thank you!
