Skip Weekends when rescheduling dependencies in Timeline View
Luiz Eduardo Maklouf
Timeline is our favorite view for planning a series of ordered tasks. It is supposed to skip weekends when moving tasks like in the Gantt view, but for now it's not working even when we choose to hide weekends.

This is a feature we 100% need and causes a lot of frustration and wasted time.

Any word when this is gonna happen? The reschedule dependencies clickapp also doesn't respect weekends.

Hey, everyone!
I'd be happy to clarify!
In Timeline view the "Weekends" option simply shows or hides weekends. It does not allow for weekends to be skipped.
That said I think this is a great idea and have changed this report to a feature request!
Let us know if you have any questions!

Hey, everyone!
We're currently trying to investigate this! Would it be possible to send me a quick screen recording (we recommend Loom or our new screen recording feature Clip) showing the issue from your end? This will help us track down what is causing this to happen!
We hope you have a great day!

Kaleb Garrison: Are you still unclear on the issue? In Gantt View if I have a task that is due five days after the start date, and I move it across a weekend, it still is five "working" days from start to due. However, in the Timeline view if I do the same thing it is three "working" days from start to due.

I'm seeing this problem too. Dependency rescheduling is VERY wonky in Timeline view and requires a lot of manual correction from me, which to a large extent defeats their purpose in the first place, since they are not rock-solid reliable.
