Showing dependency status in List view & hiding completed dependencies
Jiro Feingold
Dependencies being visible in a list is great, but there is no reflection of their status. It would be great to have them styled to show their status or removed when they have been completed.

Show dependency completion status visually in Dashboard Workload and List views
Our design team uses the Dashboard Workload view to manage individual assignments. Many of our tasks have "Blocked by" dependencies already set, meaning a task can't start until the previous person's task is complete. ClickUp does surface a Dependencies column in the workload view, which is helpful — but every chip looks identical regardless of whether the predecessor task is done or still open. The only way to know if the task before mine is complete is to click into each task individually, which defeats the purpose of having a dashboard overview.
What we need is simple: the dependency chip in the list/workload view should be color-coded based on the predecessor's completion status — for example, green if the blocking task is complete (meaning I'm unblocked and can start), and red/orange if it's still open. This requires zero manual effort from any team member since the status is already tracked by ClickUp — it just needs to be surfaced visually. Tools like Asana and Monday.com already do this natively. It's a fundamental feature for any team managing sequential, handoff-based workflows.
