Show percentage completed of linked tasks, calculated off status or story points.
Chen (Jamie Chennells)
At present, I can create a rollup of linked tasks but I can only see the status of each (eg 2 done, 1 in progress, 1 to do). This would be WAY more convenient if I could see the percentage complete of the linked tasks. This helps establish hierarchy in lists.
Desired outcome: I can have a roadmap list of high level tasks, and another list of backlog items that can be scheduled into sprints. If the backlog tasks are linked to the roadmap tasks, I can now see what percentage of this roadmap item's related tasks are complete, calculated on statuses or on story points.
At present:
- Can only aggregate statuses upwards with a rollup, leaving work to be manually done thinking about how far along this is.
- Can aggregate story points with a rollup filed in the roadmap list, but cannot calculate the percentage complete here.
- Having roadmap and backlog in the same list creates chaos as the multiple levels of the tasks makes sprints confusing, as I cannot only add a sub-tasks to a sprint.

I'm running into the same blocker. I have a folder for my client, a list for their projects, a list for my milestones, and a list for my tasks. Each list has a relationship with the other. I need to know how far along we are on each of our milestones and projects. I'd like to have the percentage complete as a rollup property from tasks to milestones then milestones to projects. I keep the lists separate because it provides the cleanest Gantt charts and is easiest to use for building roadmaps and communicating timelines.
