Show parent task for subtasks in timesheet
planned

When working with subtasks, the name of the parent task does not appear in the timesheet. It would be helpful to have it either in the task name (e.g. subtask [parent task]) or in the Location (e.g. Space/List/Parent task). Alternatively, group the subtasks by task and always display the parent task even if no time was reported in the parent task.

Even as one of the biggest stans for ClickUp, when some tells me ClickUp is stupid and points to this as an example, I have nothing to say. The fact that you cannot see the entire task hierarchy in timesheets, even hovering over a task, is so ridiculous it does make it the time tracking feature worthless. I have four tasks for four different projects that all have the same name. There is no way for me to see which one is which. Please fix this!!!

This needs to be done ASAP. It makes the planner almost useless for people who use subtasks

I was told to vote on this to ensure it is prioritized - how can I do that?

Any update on this? It's a really important consideration for our team.

When scheduling recurrence, I want future subtasks to appear in the list view without the current parent task being completed. Unfortunately, ClickUp requires completing the current task to generate the next occurrence of the sequence and this is a problem for us. I need to see the team's future agenda and if the subtask doesn't appear on the schedule, I can't know what the actual load is available and the actual load already reserved.

It's ridiculous that this is not a feature yet. Especially when creating task flows like product onboarding where subtasks are the same between each parent task but tied to the parent task. So, if your primary tasks are Product X, Product Y, and Product AA for example, and each department has parallel tasks within the project, you can't sort by department view when the department is only assigned to the subtask, as filtering only filters at the task level.

I would really like to have this as an option everywhere. We have a list for each project, then a parent task for each building or area i.e. "Building 1", then child tasks for each stage in design, i.e. "30% Design". Without this feature, when looking at the Gantt chart, I just see "30% Design" repeated a bunch of times. I would like to see "Building 1 - 30% Design".

I just posted a question related to this in the Facebook Group and then found this here. We use subtasks to break down primary tasks, BUT when reporting this time to our clients we do NOT want to show all of the time against the subtask, but against the parent task. To be honest it would be nice to also be able to roll up to the list level (in our case the Project level).
