Show Google Calendar events in Workload view
Megan Ellman
[from ticket] I want to include my events from my calendar/Google calendar on my workload?
It looks like I have availability/capacity for more tasks but then I realise I have 3 meetings for 3hrs

The fact that a much requested functionality such as the integration of the Google calendar into the Workload view has not been implemented, despite having a large number of votes and comments for several years, highlights a key issue for any company using this tool. The ability to view both internal and external meeting events is critical to properly plan workload and team capacity. If the hours spent in meetings are not considered, resource planning is flawed, as the actual availability of the team is overestimated. As many users have pointed out, this creates a distorted view of capacity, which can affect task allocation and operational efficiency.
The relevance of this request is evident, especially when compared to other ideas with fewer votes that have been implemented. This should be a priority, as it directly affects the accuracy of resource and time management, which is crucial in companies that rely on tools such as Workload to manage tasks and meetings. In addition, some users have proposed intermediate solutions, such as the automatic creation of meeting-based tasks or the possibility to allocate meeting time to projects, which shows the urgency and the need for a quick response from the platform.
The integration of calendars with Workload is not just a desire, but an operational necessity that would facilitate better organisation and planning, increasing efficiency and accuracy in team time management.

Cristian Betancort I can`t be more agree with this comment. For the looking of the solution I stumble on this one (just for time tracking unfortunatly, not Worload view) https://community.make.com/t/automated-tracking-time-in-clickup-based-on-google-calendar-events/40282
Didn`t try it yet, but I seen some other interesting integration from Make.com for ClickUp.

Another vote for this one. I started with ClickUp for the workload feature and now that I have more meetings than before, this feature is useless because it doesn't take into account those hours.

Essential. Workload View is not fully functional without this feature.

Half of my work each day is meetings but the length and quantity fluctuate so I can't accurately monitor my workload. Right now I have to put a task in for every meeting I have so that 1) it counts towards my workload for the day and 2) I can log time against it so I can properly budget projects and client work etc.
Would love to have the option to have calendar events count as tasks automatically so I can assign them to the right project, and track time appropriately.
(also -- I think this feature request should be merged with this one: https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/gmail-calendar-integration-option-to-add-meetings-to-workload)

This would be an incredibly useful feature. Any plans for this coming ?

I think it is necessary since in my organization we use this view every day.
It is key to be able to put in the workload the meetings that my team has since it is time that the team spends on a daily basis and we must account for it.
Having a mix of tasks and meetings with their estimated time.
The ideal is to create a task directly in some space and automatically put as estimated time the total time of the meeting.

Integrating Google Calendar events and timesheets for tracking meetings is important. This is an issue we've been running into as well, and this should be implemented for better resource planning.

Would love to see this as well - I'm sure you could architect some fun stuff with Make and Google Cal, but that would eat at operations..

If I have a meeting scheduled in calendar it will consume my time so that the workload can not be calculate only with the task but has to be task + event !!!
