It is possible to show archived tasks in timesheets (by a filter toggle), but it is counterintuitive that you don't see all your time entries by default. It is a log of work, not log of tasks; and that time spent on archived tasks is as much valuable and important as any other work time. Thus, it should be visible by default, with an option to hide it – instead of the current state.
