Shift Dates in Bulk (when tasks aren't dependent on each other)
completed

Let's say a website project gets set back 2 weeks. I don't want to have to manually change all start dates and end dates.
I know that dependencies and sub-tasks solve part of the problem, but sometimes, there are tasks that aren't dependent on (or related to) each other. Ex. Google Analytics config and CDN settings can be done at the same time (they're not "related" to each other).
It'd be awesome if we could reschedule/shift an entire folder/list start and/or due dates back/forward a certain number of days or weeks. That way, we wouldn't have to adjust things manually every time a client delays something ;)

Hello everyone - you can shift dates of tasks in bulk using the Gantt view. Simply select the tasks you want to update the dates for and move them to the left/right. If you select "skip non working days", these shifts will take into account weekends and holidays as well.

Unfortunately, the bulk date shifting in the Gantt view does not solve the specific problem requested here—at least not for our use case. Manually selecting tasks and dragging them in the Gantt chart is still a manual process. Instead of simply entering a new end date and having everything shift accordingly when a project is delayed, we have to fiddle around dragging in a Gantt timeline. In the projects we work on, end dates can shift anywhere from a single week to over a year, and we need accurate deadlines. Manually moving projects as you suggest feels clumsy, not particularly intuitive, and often leads to incorrect adjustments—I know this from personal experience.
What is needed is a more efficient function to shift start and due dates for an entire folder, list, or group of tasks by specifying an exact new end date (or a precise number of days/weeks), while automatically taking non-working days into account. This would eliminate manual handling entirely. Your current solution feels subpar in comparison, as it doesn't provide the level of automation and simplicity that would make the tool truly scalable for complex projects.
Could you please consider reopening this as a feature request and adding it to your roadmap? Many users would surely benefit from such an improvement!

Is there any update here? Our contract is up soon and may need to look elsewhere as it's been a long time asking for this necessary feature.

Is this still not a thing? After 5 years of people asking? I'm doing a trial of ClickUp right now because our other PMS doesn't have this ability, so I guess I'll skip ClickUp and keep looking. Why is it so hard for any company to implement a feature to count for the one constant with project scheduling: a shift in schedule.

Bumping this as well, I regularly start a preliminary schedule and need to shift all dates or a chunk of tasks dates a week here and there, if I could just select tasks then have an option to shift start and due dates 2 weeks or days it would be very helpful

Upvoting as this would be useful for us as well

ClickUp Customers are losing major value on this compared to competitors (and this thread has years of history saying so). Upvoting! I'd love to see this prioritized in Q1 2025.

This is huge for the creative-project-tracking uses of ClickUp! :)

Would love to see this implemented. This is something our team misses from our old tool and find to be one of the most useful features
