Hello everyone,
Thank you for your patience.
We are two weeks away from the beta release of our Personal Time-off feature.
Ahead of that, I'd like to share a walkthrough video of this feature (attached below) and get your early feedback. I'm curious to hear how it compares to your expectations.
This feature will allow you to:
- Set vacation days, sick days, or other non-working days
- Add public holidays for yourself
- View your teammates' upcoming time-off
- Notify others about your availability when they schedule your tasks or assign tasks to you
- Get your work capacity updated automatically
After this first release, our plan is to add:
- Integrations with your calendar and HRIS tools to automatically fetch your time-off
- Request and approval workflows for time-off

Some suggestions before we can use it.
- country level public holidays not sufficient. in Australia each state have different publi holidays and even each local council area often have an additional local holiday that is different.
- the eventual link to HRIS systems will be vital but very difficult I imagine given the multitude of systems that are out there and how generally crap they are.
- Admins will need to be able to update times off for all employees individually (to avoid duplication of approvals with HRIS) and collectively for company wide shutdowns and pub hols that do apply to everyone e.g. Christmas day
- In other views it would be great to see a birds eye view of all the time off across a given team. This would be v helpful to consolidate and check agains HRIS, other leave approval systems. Calendar view and table view make sense

Love this update. Curious if you're ever going to integrate Google Calendar with ClickUp (particularly for this reason) so that when someone puts meetings/leave in their calendar that it can automatically sync with ClickUp and block out their workload?

Thank you Bugra. This looks great. Just commenting on a couple of things. We would want admins to be able to also set time off items. It is great to have the option to have both users and admins to do so. I love the notifications etc about scheduling over time off. Someone asked about half days off etc. That is important as well. Love the idea of a dashboard card. For example I have a good portion of a team unavailable in a couple of months.
This truly looks great. With the update a few months ago to set holidays or non working days (which is perfect) and this, it will truly help us plan better.

Thanks for the video demo - this is exactly what we were hoping to see for our team's use of ClickUp! And love the future step of integrating with our calendars to do this automatically. This will be very helpful & save steps.
Additional future state features that may be helpful:
- Showing time off for those assigned on calendar views within individual tasks/projects.
- Creating a dashboard card that can show a list of upcoming outages. Currently, I manually put these into our dashboard so we can have a 2 or 3-week look ahead for upcoming outages at the department level (see screenshot). Would love something less manual that could do the same thing in a dashboard card.

Will this be available for Business members?
Will admins be able to set days for other users?
Can we set reoccurring days with flexibility? Ie we work a fortnight schedule so say every other monday would be off but if that falls on a holiday we would need move to one to a Tuesday.
Could there be some notification automation built in? Ie a team member changes status to sick and it pings indicated manager or team.

The ability to enter hourly time off would be helpful.
We also use an HRIS (UKG) to manage time off approvals and an integration would be amazing so time off doesn't have to be entered manually a second time.

Will there be the option to pause notifications during off days and non working hours?
Will the time off automatically be displayed with your name, similar to a status?
