Set notification settings for users as an admin
in progress
Eric van Horssen
Can the default notification settings be controlled by an administrator?
The current default settings for a user, are to broad for our goal.
If the user upon initial start of use, gets too many notifications, they will just go into the settings, and have the urge to turn all off.
(Or they use a mail rule, to turn them over to an bulk folder)
Please make it so we can set a different standard per Team

Hey, everyone!
As I previously mentioned on this Canny post, we're going to begin working on improving the admin experience for notifications and notification settings in ClickUp!
We have a few questions that we'd love to run by you all. If you have a few minutes free today, please take the following survey to help us out:
Thanks!

Brendan W Just wanted to share that this is one of the bigger pain points in onboarding customers. Also for the adoption of chat I got feedback the notifications are annoying.
So I would like to manage them on behalf of customers, or offer a default setting, but at least something where I can help them.
Currently it is in our 'Clickup onboarding program', but that is just like asking someone to read a manual. People don't do that, plus, ClickUp is initiated (amongst other reasons) because of long and tedious onboardings of e.g. Jira. So let's provide a simple routine for admins!

Brendan W Was just on Chat Feature webinar and was asked to put feedback on here to include Chat Notifications with this Admin control of default user notifications settings.

I don't want a whole lot of new development and customization and decisions available to me. I just want to make the default for users in my Workspace to be the "Focused" option for notifications when they sign up.

Brendan W hi,
We're facing exactly the same problem Eric has mentioned about 5 years ago. I see this was marked as "in progress" 7 months ago. Is there any specific timeline? I would appreciate some clarity here: very important feature, and I appreciate the ClickUp team is working on that. Meanwhile, not having any news regarding task which is "in progress" for 7 months makes me (at least) feeling a bit uncomfortable.
Please, let us know.

I agree with Eric, I'm setting up my workspace and all my colleagues are receiving tons of mail. I need to manage notification for all my team asap
Eddie Escobar
Desperately needed for less tech savvy teams (completely turns them off the app once all of the email notifications start piling in)

This function is completely necessary. We have a lot of complaints about this.

Awesome if the administrator can control these, that would be perfect !!!
