Set hours/day

Hi! Is it possible to set "hours per day" separately for each team member? We have some colleagues on a 6h/day contract.
Thanks!

Hi Vasil Enchev. This is great news! Can you please walk us through what the feature specifically brings in?
Nathan Robertson
Roberto Gálvez i found the setting in "work schedule" settings. which—like most of the ClickUp's recent completed feature requests—is sadly locked behind the business pro plan...
Vasil Enchev i find it disappointing that these quality of life feature requests that have been requested for years and years are being constantly locked behind plan upgrades.

Hey everyone, the individual capacity can be adjusted for each member by him or his manager or by any admin. It's shown in workload view and timesheets.
What Nathan shows in his screenshot is the Work Schedule - this is for the entire workspace. BTW we are at the moment planning to upgrade the Work Schedule to be per team and per member as well. So it will be a more proper solution i guess.

Nathan Robertson Vasil Enchev My humble recommendation to ClickUp POs is that whenever they share this great news on updates and releases, they make it clear which plans these features will be available on.

Vasil Enchev do we have a rough timeline when work schedule can be set per team or per member? Previously in beta version, we are able to set own non-working days(public holidays) on individual level, but then this is not included when released.

Vasil Enchev Can we set the total weekly or daily capacity instead of setting the time? Our working hour is 8am - 5pm and capacity is 8hrs per day as 1hour is for lunch break, but by default the setting 8am-5pm then the capacity become 45h, and I had to change the time to 9am-5pm in order to get correct capacity.

Roberto Gálvez: two things from you here, taking them in turn.
"Can you please walk us through what the feature specifically brings in?" Individual capacity can be set per member, by them, their manager, or any admin, and it shows up in Workload view and Timesheets. Separate from that is the Work Schedule, which sets working days and hours for the whole workspace. Those two get confused a lot. We're also working on making the Work Schedule itself settable per team and per member, which is the more complete version of what most people are actually asking for.
"whenever they share this great news on updates and releases, they make it clear which plans these features will be available on." Completely fair, and it's the easiest of anything raised on this thread to fix. Release and update posts should say which plans a feature lands on, and I'll make that standard in how we post here.

Nathan Robertson: I hear you, and you're not the first to raise it on this exact point. Which plan a feature lands on isn't my call, it sits with the pricing team, so I'm not going to promise you a change here. What I can do is pass on the specific version of the complaint, which is that quality of life requests sitting on the board for years then landing behind an upgrade feels like a bad trade. That's been passed along. Roberto made a related point below about stating plan availability up front in release posts, and that part I can fix, so I will.

Jane Koh: taking your two questions in order.
On the timeline: per team and per member Work Schedule is in development now and the beta will be running soon, so it's close. On the individual non-working days you had in the beta, that's coming back and going further. We're starting individual non-working days for users soon, each with its own holiday calendar, which should cover what you lost plus the multi-region case.
On capacity: what you've done, trimming 8am to 5pm down to 9am to 5pm, is the only lever available today. There's no way to set the real hours and subtract an hour of lunch, so you're working around a genuine gap rather than missing a setting. I've logged capacity as a number you set directly, independent of the schedule times.

Feel that this is such an important feature the ClickUp is missing. On our team, everyone has a different total of hours they work per week and its always hard to see if people are tracking their time correctly as it's based on an 8 hour work day.

This is an essential feature
And could be delivered together with the concept of
Working Session
or Planned Day
, where you add many sessions of work
and assign
one or more team members to work in the task for each session.- Task Due + Planned + Actual Date & Time for Timeblocking, Day Planning & Schedule Review
- Work sessions for a task
Also, each session of work can have different configuration of recurrence, so we could be able to set two or more times in a daily recurring task.
The App #Sunsama works with this concept very well.
Why not make #ClickUp a truly "
One app to replace them all
" because this feature is not currently supported.Marco Vivirito

I would like to allocate a different number of hours per day to the same task, when this feature can be upload ?

We need to change hours per day to 7.5, but currently only full hours is supported. It would be good to add a decimale place here.

In developing my task list I’d like to recognize the impact on daily inefficiencies and distractions that prevents working on a task for a full eight hour work day. I’d like to adjust the length of the work day to, say, six hours and add our company holidays to the system so ClickUp can generate the correct calendar dates for durations and deadlines.
For example, I'd like to see ClickUp count four six-hour days, rather than three eight-hour days, for a task taking 24 hours.
