Hi! Is it possible to set "hours per day" separately for each team member? We have some colleagues on a 6h/day contract.

Hey Everyone! I'd like to get up to speed here and make sure we are all on the same page. Lots of different ideas being talked about in this thread.
- We do support capacity per user per day and we support fractional hours when setting daily capacity, but both of those features require the Business Plus or higher plan. Details here: https://help.clickup.com/hc/en-us/articles/6310449699735-Use-Workload-view.
- I also see comments mixed in about splitting tasks up into multiple time blocks. There is a different feature request for that so please vote and comment on that one: https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/time-blocking-2.
- There are also some mentions of lowering capacity for non-working days. This is also covered in a different feature request here: https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/set-vacation-daysleave.
I think the primary confusion here is around the capacity features existing, but being limited to specific pricing plans.
Are there any open questions I can answer on this request? If not I'll close this one out since the primary request is related to capacity features that we already support.

Anthony C. It is around the right and roles. At this moment only the user itself or an admin can set the workhours for users. I would like to see this as an option in the admin menu so i can assign a role that is allowed to do this. This way all studio managers can manage their own team without asking an CU admin or bothering the end users.

Luke Burrell Sorry that isn't surfaced well in the app. I made a note that it isn't clear so we can address it and reduce confusion.
We often have a basic version of a feature on the Free Forever or Unlimited plans and then more advanced versions on higher tier plans.

Mark Verschuuren Got it - just added this to a task I have going related to custom permissions we are thinking about for time tracking. Capacity is separate, but related and falls under my squad at ClickUp so I included it there so we don't lose the idea.

Feel that this is such an important feature the ClickUp is missing. On our team, everyone has a different total of hours they work per week and its always hard to see if people are tracking their time correctly as it's based on an 8 hour work day.

And could be delivered together with the concept of
Working Session
or Planned Day
, where you add many sessions of work
and assign
one or more team members to work in the task for each session.- Task Due + Planned + Actual Date & Time for Timeblocking, Day Planning & Schedule Review
- Work sessions for a task
Also, each session of work can have different configuration of recurrence, so we could be able to set two or more times in a daily recurring task.
The App #Sunsama works with this concept very well.
Why not make #ClickUp a truly "

In developing my task list I’d like to recognize the impact on daily inefficiencies and distractions that prevents working on a task for a full eight hour work day. I’d like to adjust the length of the work day to, say, six hours and add our company holidays to the system so ClickUp can generate the correct calendar dates for durations and deadlines.
For example, I'd like to see ClickUp count four six-hour days, rather than three eight-hour days, for a task taking 24 hours.
